Summer wrap up!
At IDA we had a very successful summer. During the month of July, our junior intensive was held, and the dancers were exposed to several styles of dance. They really enjoyed themselves. Looking forward to Summer 2016!
Also in July, parents were invited to one of the class observation dates. These observation times are held three times a year. If you missed the July date, look in November for the next available date. Parents are allowed in the classroom and are encouraged to take photos.
Your dancer really wants to show off all the hard work that they have been doing in class. It’s very important you make every effort to visit during these observation times. It gives you the opportunity to see how your child is advancing and gives your child the joy of showing you how well they are dancing. We hope to see you at the next parent observation time.
Coppélia was performed by our dancers at IDA and RDA. The dancers enjoyed putting on a fun ballet and learning how to perform on stage. They all worked hard during the spring and final summer months rehearsing on Saturdays to give the best performance possible. We are all very proud of our dancers who performed this summer. Keep up the hard work!
If you missed this summer’s production, keep checking back with the studio! We are looking to do another showcase hopefully in the spring. And also Nutcracker, which turns 40 this year, is just around the corner!
At IDA, we want to continue to have lots of communication with parents, so you can help us help your dancer be his or her best. We have also started a newsletter to keep you up to date on studio happenings, highlights from teachers, and important reminders. Our goal is to have this newsletter be monthly. In the coming months will be adding in student of month as well to highlight students achievements in the world of dance. Please continue to check Facebook as well since schedule changes will be announced on Facebook.
