Inland Dance Academy

“Inland Dance Academy Young Artists” company was founded in 2000 when Evette DeMarco Swinson became Owner/Artistic Director of Inland Dance Academy formerly known as Noerr Dance Academy. The company has performed in their annual “Young Artists’ Showcase” productions in which they have done excerpts from many classical works such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet and Le Corsaire. They have presented original classical¬† choreography by Evette DeMarco Swinson, Giselle DeMarco, Rachel Swinson Jacinto and Roberto Almaguer. The company has performed Award winning Contemporary works choreographed by Quincy Jacinto and neo-classical pieces by the above mentioned choreographers. IDA has presented works in every genre of dance as well.

IDA dancers have been awarded Top 12 ensembles, top 12 classical and contemporary soloists, 3rd place, 2nd place, 1st place, and the Hope Awards in the prestigious “Youth America Grand Prix Competition” in the years 2000 through 2009 consecutively and traveled to the New York Finals four years as well. The IDA dancers also perform in Inland Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker every year at the historic California Theater of Performing Arts in San Bernardino.¬† The company has performed together with many professional guests artists such as Roberto Almaguer, Mikhail Tchoupakov, Alexander Greschenko, John Todd, Francisco Martinez, Quincy Jacinto, and Bobby Amamizu.

In 2012 IDA premiered their first complete full length production of Alice In Wonderland choreographed by Evette DeMarco Swinson with costume design by Giselle DeMarco to rave reviews. They presented the ballet again in May of 2013.
